**Department Description**

The Strategy and Corporate Development (SCD) unit:

- supports the company in continuously reviewing, formulating, updating, and implementing its corporate strategy,
- supports the Management Board in assessing and grasping strategic opportunities, e.g., M&A activities, strategic cooperations or geographical expansions,
- takes the lead in world-wide, cross-functional projects and initiatives which have a direct impact on P&L and balance sheet,
- drives the management and development of existing and new product and services,
- supports the Management Board and especially the CEO by producing strategic management information and addressing requests from their stakeholders (e.g., supervisory board, rating agencies).
- monitors the business and IT platform integration of our SPB business.

SCD is organised around four different teams, each under a manager’s supervision: Corporate Strategy and Business Development, Strategic Planning and Analysis, Product, and Integration.

There are currently 20 colleagues plus interns working for SCD, based in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Cardiff, Cologne, Copenhagen, London, and Madrid.

As Business and Product Development Senior Analyst you will be part of the Corporate Strategy and Business Development Team, with 8 FTE plus interns. You will report to the Head of Corporate Strategy & Business Development.

**In this position your key responsibilities will be**:

- investigating market trends and understanding the competitive environment
- researching and analyzing all relevant information to formulate new strategies or develop new products/services.
- understanding the requirements and goals of financial institutions that interact with Atradius.
- advising and supporting the Management Board in defining strategic objectives and aligning the strategy for the development of new business, products, and services
- executing key elements of the business
- and product development strategy that can involve:

- driving the new business and product development agenda of the company
- formation of new business and product alliances and partnerships, for instance with other insurers or intermediaries
- implementation of new business and product initiatives in the various business units
- all of the above, with a special focus on non-traditional credit insurance products (e.g. Top-up, non-can etc.) and on trade and receivables financing.

**Required qualifications**:

- a master’s degree
- 5 -7 years working experience in the Financial Services industry, best in Trade Finance or Credit Insurance
- knowledge of Atradius products
- a track record in formulation and implementation in business and product strategies; experience with new business and product development related themes
- experience with writing wording proposals and texts
- experience in external representation, i.e. client meetings, negotiations and presentations
- affinity with data analysis
- very strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint but also other with MS tools, as particularly Excel
- speak and write in English at C1 or C2 level, if English is not already your mother tongue; at least one other European language would be an advantage.
