General Financial Controller

Manage accounting operations across an international group of entities based within N. America and Europe.
- Drive development of best-in-class processes concerned with all aspects of financial reporting.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings for each business entity.
- Be responsible for month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare accurate monthly forecasting information.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Develop, document, and maintain business processes and accounting policies to support and strengthen internal controls.
- Leadership of a finance team in London and Barcelona, drawing on other local resources to support the activities of the team.
Great opportunity in finance department of international company|Fluent level of English is a must
- Recognised professional finance qualification e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.
- 5-10 years of post-qualified experience.
- Be a self-starter with the confidence to deal appropriately with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
- Working experience as a Financial Controller.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, in particular, FRS 102.
- Working knowledge of US/UK taxation.
- Experience driving forward and managing month-end/year-end close processes.
- Excellent accounting software user and systems integration/development experience.
- Preferred: Experience working with resource planning and time management software e.g. Kimble.
