Amazon's Translation Services is looking for a Sr Manager Product Management Tech to lead a team of Sr Product Managers Tech, BI experts and UX designers and to create the vision, strategy, and roadmaps that will continually improve our services and enable our stakeholders to deliver the best CX for our customers in their language of choice.

Key job responsibilities
As the Senior Manager of the Translation Services Product Management team you will lead them to build the goals and key output metrics that support our initiatives, and develop input metrics to ensure we are always investing in the right areas to improve language CX across multiple marketplaces. You will continually evaluate how to help your team and their tech partners achieve velocity in their product development. Implementing processes and mechanisms will help you and your team scale their capacity so everyone can achieve more. You must know how to operate at a 10,000-foot level, and at the same time stay connected to the customer experience, product details, and use anecdotes, metrics and insight to know when an audit is necessary. Your team will need advice about how to implement tools and mechanisms to stay connected to their customers, aligned with stakeholders, and keep projects in control with dependable outcomes.

As a technical leader, you will help your PMs know when and how to raise the quality bar, evaluate ways to get their highest priority work completed along with incremental asks that arise, identify and use 1-way and 2-way door decisions, and when to experiment.

The translations space has a broad array of stakeholders, and you will need to develop relationships and earn trust with their teams and leaders to improve translated customer experience and meet goals.

A day in the life
You will be a thought leader - setting the product vision and defining the strategic roadmap. There may not be a typical day. One day you may be leading a visioning workshop or presenting to a VP leader, and the next day helping a PM deep dive a customer anecdote and get to an escalation root cause. But what is consistent is always have your team’s goals and progress top of mind, providing the team prioritization clarity, giving quick clear feedback, meeting with key stakeholders to ensure alignment, and looking around corners to anticipate problems that may affect individual or team outcomes.

About the team
The team consists of Sr. PM-Ts, UX Designers and BIEs in multiple locations, US, Spain and India. The central team supports all the Translation Services product needs, in order to increase speed, quality and improve cost of translation. We build state of the art tech based products (CAT, Machine Translation, Translation Memories and Term Base technology) to streamline productivity and ensure consistent quality.
