The Eurovision Services is seeking for a Head of Controlling based in Madrid.

**ABOUT EUROVISION SERVICES**

Eurovision Services (ES) is the premier service provider for event organizers, media organizations and sport federations.

**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION**

The Head of Accounting directs an organization’s establishment and implementation of accounting policies and procedures. The Head of Accounting is responsible for accounting operations and systems, analysis and report preparation, and leading accounting professionals and staff. Head of Accounting will need a bachelor’s degree, and CPA certification.

The Head of Accounting will report to the CFO of the organization and has a team in the department that they will manage. The Head of Accountings create specific objectives to support their functional strategies and will have a solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. It is expected that the Head of Accounting also have some prior managerial experience.

**Main duties**:

- Supports organization financial objectives by providing financial analyses and recommendations and directing staff; take ownership of full group reports and the balance sheet
- Ensure compliance and completeness of finance reporting according to local GAAP, Swiss GAAP and IFRS
- Develops accounting organizational strategies by contributing accounting and financial information, analysis, and recommendations for strategic thinking and direction, and establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives
- Provides financial projections by coordinating budget/forecast preparation, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial information, and advising departments on the collection and analysis of data
- Maintains sufficient funds by forecasting cash requirements and obligations
- Minimizes legally required taxes by studying regulations, presenting tax strategies to management, and filing returns
- Minimizes inventory investment by analyzing returns and recommending inventory
- Further development and optimisation of accounting processes and systems within the group in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and quality
- Contact person for tax consultants and auditors for the group and its subsidiaries and monitoring of all tax matters as well as analysis and implementation of tax optimization models
- Leading the Accounting team; direct reporting line to the CFO; close cooperation with corporate Controlling, Treasury, Risk Management and local Finance Managers
- Degree of business management, Finance, Accounting or Controlling; experience in audit company advantageous
- Many years of professional experience in a comparable position and industry
- Good knowledge of international, Swiss and local accounting standards (SPANISH GAAP, SWISS GAAP, IFRS)
- Experience of working in complex corporate group structures and managing the annual audit
- Demonstrated experience in managing a medium organisation’s accounting, tax and statutory compliance requirements
- High IT affinity. Experience with DYNAMICS 365 BUSINESS CENTRAL and LUCANET advantageous
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated experience of working collaboratively and influencing across multiple stakeholder groups

**LANGUAGE - **Fluent in English (company language) and Spanish in speaking and writing
