The Researcher will work in a highly sophisticated HPC environment, will have access to systems and computational infrastructures, and will establish collaborations with experts in different areas. **Key Duties** - Establish and maintain collaborations with national and international researchers in both the public and private sectors in the area of healthcare and biomedical research. - Lead the design and writing of competitive research projects within national and international funding calls. - Participate in internal group meetings and other scientific discussions. - Preparation and presentation of scientific articles. Lead selection procedures to maintain or expand the team working in the disease comorbidities research line.**Requirements**: - Education - PhD in computer science or bioinformatics (or equivalent). - Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience - Bioinformatics applied to precision medicine - Disease comorbidities. - 3-5 years of experience writing and leading WPs/tasks in research projects in the computational biology area. - Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience - Fluent in spoken and written English - Competences - Good communication and presentation skills. - Ability to work both independently and within a team. - Capacity to use new software, understand new methods, or follow new research lines. **Conditions** - The position will be located at BSC within the Life Sciences Department - We offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures - Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration - Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement - Starting date: 01/10/2025 **Applications procedure and process** - A full CV in English including contact details - A cover/motivation letter with a statement of interest in English, clearly specifying for which specific area and topics the applicant wishes to be considered.
