**About the job**:
- The Red Hat Ecosystem Engineering team is looking for a Manager to join our Telco Operations group. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, leading, and growing a geographically distributed team of integration engineers. You and your team will contribute directly to enabling strategic 5G and next generation telco service provider offerings and solutions. You will engage early and work closely with partners in Red Hat's partner ecosystem, with peer groups in Ecosystem Engineering, Red Hat product and sales teams, and in open source communities. As a Manager, project activities include collaborating with engineering stakeholders and effectively balancing business priorities and team capacity, while embracing and amplifying Red Hat's core values of freedom, courage, commitment, and accountability.Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.**What you will do**:
- Manage and lead a high performance team of globally distributed Integration Engineers focusing on RAN, Vertical Market Integrations, and OpenShift Virtualization Integration.
- Contribute to delivery of Ecosystem Engineering team's objectives through the definition and delivery of strategic goals of the Telco Engineering Ecosystems Engineering team.
- Proactively manage your team's technical contributions and delivery of telco enablement projects and telco solutions.
- Foster collaboration across multiple teams to ensure priorities are coordinated and collaboration is effective.
- Be your team's advocate when negotiating project work, schedules, deadlines, and priorities.
- Coach, mentor, and guide your team, fostering continuous improvement in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ensure the team's work is promoted and publicized through blogs, web postings, and conference talks.
- Coordinate knowledge sharing within and outside the company.
- Lead all associates in managing their professional careers and personal growth.
**What you will bring**:
- Ability to constructively collaborate with senior managers, peer managers, and product managers.
- Effective team coaching, mentoring, training, and leadership skills.
- Flexibility to work with a geographically distributed remote working team.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Familiar with agile or scrum methodologies.
- Application of industry development methodologies to the delivery of software products and solutions.
**The following are considered a plus**:
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat CoreOS, Kubernetes, Containers, other Red Hat products, or industry cloud or virtualization technologies.
- Contributing to open source communities.
- Proficiency in Linux operation and administration.
- Experience in telco or systems engineering and software development.Experience with Linux system programming.
- Experience with software testing or continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines.
