Senior Legal Counsel

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with the management to uphold standards and foster a culture of compliance throughout the business.
- Provide comprehensive support and guidance, covering the entire operational compliance life cycle, including regulatory license management and various regulatory proceedings.
- Stay informed of evolving legislation, regulations, and industry standards, and incorporate these changes into continuous improvements of our internal policies.
- Advise the business on regulatory compliance for existing and future licensing requirements, serving as a key member of related projects.
- Work in tandem with other teams to ensure the wider compliance framework is aligned and supported.
- Manage workloads efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met while promoting strong governance procedures.
- Foster positive relationships with regulators, managing regulatory obligations as required and in a timely manner.
- Contribute to additional projects as needed, providing expertise and support to achieve business goals.

**Qualifications**:

- Qualified lawyer in Europe.
- Minimum of 5+ years PQE, with demonstrable experience in a regulatory compliance role.
- Understanding of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High ethical standards, ownership, and professional integrity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A self-driven mentality with the confidence to drive your agenda rather than through micromanagement support and direction.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience working in a start-up or fast-paced environment.
- Corporate, commercial, or IP legal experience.
