**Research technician**

**Neurovascular Research Laboratory**
VHIR's offers a contract to work as a **Research Technician
- Laboratory **within the Neurovascular Research

Group. Our lab is focused in stroke research and dementia from a basic and translational point of view. The

group is composed by a young and highly motivated group of researchers: neurologists, biologists, technicians,

statisticians, psychologists and nurses. Our work is divided into four lines of research: biomarkers,

neuroprotection, neurorepair and amyloid. This position will give support to several studies related to stroke

disease within the RICORS program.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Education and qualifications**:
**Required: -**

**Bachelor’s Degree in Neuroscience, Health Sciences or similar** (Biology, Biomedicine, etc.)
- **Fluent English**

**Desired: -**

Course/Certificate in Laboratory Animal Science & Experimentation (Level C or D)

**Experience and knowledge**:
**Required: -**

**Previous experience in a biomedical research laboratory (other than practicum or curricular internships). -**

Experience in some Cell & Molecular biology techniques: Immunoassays, western blotting, RT-PCR, cytometry,

ELISA, tissue histology, etc.
- Knowledge in cell culture
- Experience in collection and storage of biological specimens

Computer skills and experience in statistical analysis using GraphPad and SPSS or similar
- Personal skills: well-organized, methodical, proactive and aptitude for teamwork

**Desired: -**

Experience in supply purchase and stock control of consumables and reagents
- Experience in experimental stroke models

**Main responsibilities and duties: -**

Sample handling and processing
- Preparing and sending material for partners several projects
- Laboratory maintenance and daily routine lab tasks
- ELISA, Protein Arrays, Cytometry, Molecular Biology Techniques
- Cell culture
- Writing reports, statistical analyses and results interpretation***

**Labour conditions: -**

Full-time position: 40h/week.
- Starting date: immediate/month, year.
- Gross annual salary: 20.757,77€.
- Contract: _Temporal linked to project_
