**Education and qualifications**:

Graduated in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Biomedicine.
Master degree in the biomedical field (final qualification 8.5).
Certificate Course in Laboratory Animal Science (certified for A (care), B (procedure), C (euthanasia))

**Experience and knowledge**:
We seek for a highly motivated graduate technician that is eager to participate in a challenging research project.
Previous experience in the field of genetic rare diseases will be of value.

At least 3 year of laboratory work experience in the field of biomedicine involving Lab animal studies (rodent).

Experience in classic molecular biology techniques involving proteins (western blot, BN-PAGE, enzyme activity
assays, etc) and nucleic acids (qPCR, cloning, purification, mutagenesis, etc).
- Experience in cell culture: cell lines maintenance, transfection, immunocytochemistry
**Main responsibilities and duties: -**
Research tasks related to the project: “Mitochondrial respiratory complex I at the interface between oxidative
metabolism and nucleotide homeostasis”, including, but not limited, to the following:
- Care and management of genetically modified mice.
- Biochemical and molecular characterization of mutant mice, including mitochondrial function.
- Set up new methodologies for in vivo evaluation of nucleic acid homeostasis
- Set up a Biotin Proximity Labeling methodology for the identification of Protein-Protein interaction in
mutant cell lines
- Writing of manuscripts and presentation of the results at local and international meetings.
- Contributing to the general shared tasks of the laboratory.***
