**Position Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assembly of special cables, manufacture of printed circuit boards (PCBs), and soldering of electronic components.
- Assembly of customized scientific and optoelectronic instruments involving optical fibers, lasers, light detectors, and related components.
- Diagnose and repair damaged electronic equipment and systems.
- Billing of costs related to electronic components and associated project tasks.
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation related to electronic systems and workshop activities.

**Qualifications and Experience Required**
- Minimum **3 years of proven experience** in a similar position, ideally within a public research center or laboratory in the STEM field.
Proven experience in:
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in the assembly and testing of electronic circuits and systems, including the use of laboratory instruments (oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, etc.), and troubleshooting and maintenance of electronic equipment.
- Design and fabrication of printed circuit boards (PCBs) using SIEMENS Xpedition, including creating layouts and component libraries within this environment.
- Experience in manufacturing electronic prototype PCBs using LPKF milling machines, along with practical skills in soldering and component assembly.
- Design of electronic enclosures and mechanical parts using FIKUS Visualcam and SIEMENS Solid Edge.
- Proven experience working in collaborative environments using Microsoft Teams and SharePoint in a professional context.

**Conditions**
This is a full-time position.
The contract offered will be a permanent contract for scientific and technical activities (ACT) linked to the approved Public Employment Offer (Oferta Pública d’Ocupació - OPO) of ICFO and governed by the applicable public-sector labor framework.
A probationary period of 6 months will apply, in accordance with ICFO’s internal labor regulations and the applicable public-sector labor framework.
