Electronic Technician

ICFO is offering an project research engineer position to a well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young technician who wishes to enhance his/her scientific career in a friendly and stimulating environment. - Assembly of special cables, manufacture of printed circuits boards, soldering of electronics components in PCBs. - Assembly of optoelectronic devices, with optical fibers, lasers, light detectors, etc. - Assembly of customized instruments. - Repair damaged equipment. - Manage stock of electronics and components. - Billing of costs related to corresponding parts of the project. Creation of technical documentation - Funded by MCIN/AEI/ 10.13039/501100011033 and by the “European Union NextGenerationEU/PRTR" **Share this opening**: Use the following URL: - Design of basic electronic circuits using the software SIEMENS Xpedition DxDesigner, Layout and create libraries and components in this eviroment. - Electronic prototype manufacturing using LPKF milling machines. - Design of electronics enclosures and mechanical parts with FIKUS Visualcam and AUTODESK Inventor. - Proven experience in use of collaborative work environment, using Microsoft Teams and SharePoint in a professional environment. - A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position in a public research center in the STEM field. Salaries for ICFO project research engineers positions are assigned by the Selection Committee, based on experience and seniority of the applicant, as well as the assigned tasks and responsibilities within the group. Standard salaries range from a lower level aligned with national Ramon-y-Cajal fellowships to higher levels aligned with Marie Skłodowska-Curie individual fellowships. The contract is offered for a period of 1 year.
