As the Groups Tax consultant, you'll provide vital advice on complex tax issues, and opportunities that impact on every aspect of our business, while leading Agilent's representation in high-level legal issues.
**The primary objectives of this position are to**:
1. Improve tax department compliance program/process efficiencies by maximizing the use of existing data tools associated with Agilent’s system architecture including those that were implemented for Tax specifically;
3. Represent Tax on Enterprise-wide projects such as ERP upgrades and ERP flows for new business models;
4. Provide Tax team training on existing and new reporting tools to maximize utilization; and
5. Data mining and analysis as required.
**Job Responsibilities include**:
1. Project management for internal Tax projects and as a representative for Tax on Enterprise level projects;
3. HFM Consultation/design to streamline tax compliance processes through available resident functionality;
4. SAP consultation/design on existing SAP Direct Tax solutions as well as on implementing new Tax requirements and solutions;
5. HANA/Essbase consultation/design regarding adhoc reporting functionality to streamline tax return processes through available resident functionality;
6. Tax solutions and consulting on various company-wide projects. Tax is often challenged to understand how these initiatives affect Tax’s existing data requirements. This position advocates on behalf of Tax to ensure Tax requirements are represented and works with the appropriate teams to implement solutions where impacts occur;
7. IT/FPS Liaison collaboration with FPS and IT on POR sponsored Tax projects, including navigation through IT project protocols;
8. M&A Data Transition assist with obtaining all system records from target organizations; and
9. Manage a support staff of technology resources.
This influential role requires you to understand Agilent’s ERP architecture and interrelationships with vast boundary systems. Person must also have a good understanding of accounting and capacity to understand Tax department data needs.
Through at least 10 years' practical experience, 8+ years' of which will be relevant experience, you'll have developed excellent leadership skills and a solutions oriented, proactive approach.
