Revenue Accountant

- ** What’s my job title? **Revenue Accountant
- ** Working hours? **You will operate within the Central European Time Zone (CET)
- ** What language(s) are required? **Fluency in English

**What you’ll do**:

- Be responsible for the monthly revenue close process, which includes preparing journal entries, and preparing detailed analytics and reconciliations
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Sales and Legal teams to enable the interpretation of complex contracts, ensuring the revenue is recognised correctly and billed appropriately
- Perform detailed review of revenue streams and price plans to ensure proper treatment under IFRS
- Develop white-papers or accounting memos to support the company’s position or policy election on certain revenue recognition issues
- Understand and analyse revenue drivers and the impact on internally and externally reported business metrics
- Review of monthly reporting and perform variance analysis and investigate differences; support the FP&A team on explaining results
- Working closely with Billing team to build and maintain a robust process to ensure completeness and accuracy of the order to cash process
- Involvement in the annual group external audit on all revenue related topics
- Involvement in special projects and ad-hoc reporting & delivery of analysis to support management decisions
- Identify and proactively provide solutions to automate and improve processes while ensuring daily responsibilities are completed in a timely manner with detail and accuracy

**What you’ll bring**
- 3+ years of professional work experience in a Finance or Accounting function
- University degree with a focus on Finance, Controlling, Audit or comparable majors Professional designation (CPA or CA) is preferred
- IFRS knowledge is a must/ other relevant accounting standards preferred.
- Experience in ERP, GSuite, MS-Office Suite (NetSuite big plus)
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and experience in using structured approaches to problem solving
- Experience with projects, processes and continuous process improvements
- Deep sense of ownership

- Fluency in written and spoken English
