Medical Science Liaisons (MSL) are Field-based Medical Affairs Associates of Norgine, who develop peer-to-peer relationships with Medical Experts/Key Stakeholders and members of the scientific community, utilising scientific and medical evidence-based non-promotional materials. They strategically prepare and support the development, launch and commercialisation of Norgine products through scientific exchange, seeking external insight to shape Norgine understanding of the therapeutic environment. Their activities begin up to two years prior to launch of a new molecule in development. They respond to unsolicited requests for scientific information and provide clinical trial support.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Be the field based medical expert of drug and therapy for Norgine
- Build and maintain partnerships with Opinion Leaders (OLs), in current and future areas of interest
- Act as field-based reference points of scientific and clinical expertise for sales force and other internal stakeholders
- Identify data gaps and research opportunities as well as support IIS and Norgine sponsored studies
- Proactively provides OL/ field based insights to the brand team to support medical and scientific strategy and communications
- Support Market Access team activities
- Ensure all activities are in line with Farmaindustria Code of Practice

**Requirements**:
**SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE**

Education Required:
MD/Physician, PharmD, pharmacist, PhD and other life sciences with solid medical/technical background and proven competencies in influencing skills and proven competencies in influencing skills, clinical research in-sight, business and market knowledge.

Languages:
Fluent in English & Spanish (oral and written).

Experience/Professional requirement:
1. Proven ability to develop and foster peer-to-peer, credible relationships with Medical Experts/decision makers.

2. Working knowledge of the Healthcare System and of the research procedures as well as GCP (Farmaindustria Code) and other ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.

3. Thorough knowledge of clinical medicine, disease management, and medical research in at least one therapeutic area.

4. Ability to understand and convey emergent scientific information in a credible and engaging manner.

5. Proven ability to use IT tools and interface effectively with a variety of technical platforms.

6. Strong personal integrity, and customer focus.

7. Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation and advanced presentation skills.
