2+ years of professional working experience with localization management
- 4+ years of professional working experience or equivalent education in program/project management
- Experience troubleshooting workflows that include machine translation, post-editing, and linguistic quality assurance reviews
- Experience with translation management tools and content management tools
- Experience working with those with a strong technical background

Job summary
The Localization PM will support and influence a global localization strategy and drive the successful implementation of localization/translation projects. They will work on behalf of customers to ensure accuracy of translations through management of stakeholders, linguistic assets, and analyzing existing tools to drive automation.

Key job responsibilities
- Own execution elements of Mind the Gap, which identifies, prioritizes, and resolves both translation coverage and quality gaps.
- Contribute to language strategy in order to leverage content reuse across different content types.
- Evaluate and propose improvements of localization tool features.
- Successfully identify and implement process improvements of the team’s localization process based on findings from customer issues.
- Research the needs of multiple stakeholders to be able to make trade-offs to optimize time-to-delivery.
- Evangelize internationalization and localization best practices.
- Demonstrate a bias for action and an ability to deal with ambiguity.
- Outreach: Lead coordination with Amazon language specialists to align on linguistic resources and identify collaboration opportunities.
- Partner with Amazon business teams to align on linguistic resources and promote usage of teams’ workflows
- Strategize with InTech partner teams to articulate and drive forward cutting-edge innovations with localization tools.

About the team
Retail Localization is a pillar with the Translation Services Operations team. Our focus is translated content rendered to customers on any of Amazon's retail sites and ensuring that the quality and coverage meets our customers' expectations.
