The Employee Relations Business Partner (ERBP) will be responsible for championing global employee relations in a manner that is effective, empathetic, neutral, and fair aligned with Alcon’s Leading Brilliantly philosophy in support of Alcon’s values and Behaviors and HR Strategy for a specific country.

The ERBP will report directly to the Region Global Employee Relations Head. As a member of a regional Employee Relations team, the ERBP will collaborate with Human Resource Business Partners and leadership by providing specialized consultation and mentorship on associate matters such as local employee representation, collective bargaining agreements, policy interpretation, policy violations, performance management, leave of absences, reasonable accommodations and internal investigations.

The ERBP will be first contact person for the works council, draft and negotiate works council agreements and regulatory agreements, be interface to the legal department and group works council, support and handling of legal cases. The successful implementation of the business objectives is ensured by negotiating and concluding appropriate works constitution regulations.

The tasks also include advising the management, the respective business unit and the HR business partners on individual legal issues. Finally, it includes the support of transformations and change processes.

Will be responsible for supporting the development of policies and processes to effectively manage employee relations issues, which encourages associates to come forward with concerns and suggestions. These policies and processes will also provide the associate with timely resolution along with follow-up to ensure implemented solutions are sustained.

Develop and foster productive relationships with cross-functional stakeholders throughout the enterprise by collecting metrics to identify areas of opportunity to support the development and implementation of employee relations training programs.
