**Analyse FX markets and macroeconomic trends to draft and publish research reports based on quantitative and qualitative analysis, and provide trade ideas and hedging strategies to both internal and external clients. Work alongside the rest of the business teams to help enhance the client relationship and generate new business opportunities.

**Overview**

Analyse FX markets and macroeconomic trends to draft and publish research reports based on quantitative and qualitative analysis, and provide trade ideas and hedging strategies to both internal and external clients. Work alongside the rest of the business teams to help enhance the client relationship and generate new business opportunities.
- Compile and analyse economic and financial information on G10 FX markets.
- Monitor news flow, macro publications, central banks' policies among others that could impact FX markets.
- Prepare and publish regular and ad-hoc written reports and presentations about FX markets. Coordinate the layout, editing, supervision and distribution of those reports.
- Participate in conference calls and meetings with internal and external clients to present market views and investment recommendations.
- Interact closely with the BBVA Research unit and other Global Markets Research teams, to align the macro fundamental view with other asset classes.
- Monitor the performance of investment strategies and recommendations. Dynamic adjustment of the strategy based on the evolution of the market variables and drivers.

**What are we looking for?**

**Academic background and experience**:

- Academic background in Economics.
- Knowledge of FX markets and macroeconomic analysis.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in macroeconomic analysis or a similar role.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg or Reuters is highly valued.

**Language skills**:

- English: fluent

**Soft skills**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, including Research, Global Markets (Sales, Trading, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in analysis and reporting.
- Adaptability to dynamic and fast-moving financial environments.
