**CATEGORY BUYER**

**Eurovision Services (ES) is looking for a Category Buyer to join the Procurement team at Eurovision Services Madrid, Spain.**

**ABOUT THE PROCUREMENT TEAM**

Our Procurement team is responsible for driving value through strategic sourcing and effective supplier relationship management across key services that support our broadcasting operations.

The team collaborates closely with Sales, Technology and Operations to ensure that the procurement activities support the company’s multi-year strategic plan and contribute to the seamless execution of our roadmaps.

As a Category Buyer based in Madrid and reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing our mid to long-term business strategy. This role demands a forward-thinking approach, strategic mindset, and the ability to drive innovation through informed purchasing decisions.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**

In this role, you will specifically focus on managing and sourcing fiber connectivity solutions, ensuring the seamless connection between critical locations to support our global broadcast infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

- Strategic Purchasing Planning: Develop and implement procurement plans that align with the company’s long-term strategic objectives, contributing to overall business success.
- Optimize Supplier Value: Engage in strategic negotiations with vendors, not just to secure competitive pricing, but to optimize overall value through favorable payment terms, quality, and service levels.
- Market Insight and Timing: Analyze market trends and supply chain dynamics to identify optimal purchasing opportunities that align with the company’s operational and financial objectives.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Technology, and Operations to ensure procurement activities support and enhance the company’s broader business goals.
- Vendor Qualification and Management: Evaluate and select vendors based on their ability to meet the company’s diverse needs.
- Contract Management: Collaborate with the legal department to negotiate and draft contracts that secure the best terms for the company while ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide comprehensive reports and insights to the Head of Procurement and the ES Senior Management Team, supporting informed decision-making.

**YOUR EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS**
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, such as Business, Telecommunications, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
- Extensive Procurement Expertise: Minimum 5 years experience in procurement and purchasing, with a deep understanding of the entire commercial procurement lifecycle and a proven ability to deliver results.
- **Category-Specific Experience: Demonstrated experience in procurement/category management within key categories such as fiber connectivity, satellite capacity, teleport, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in these areas**.
- Comprehensive Business Acumen: Demonstrated proficiency across multiple business dimensions, including negotiation, technical specifications, financial analysis, and legal terms and conditions.
- Innovative and Adaptable: A highly professional approach with a creative and flexible mindset, able to adapt to new challenges and drive innovation.
- Budget Management: Expertise in managing budgets, ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and value.
- Proactive Problem Solver: A proactive attitude toward problem-solving, coupled with strong decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills at a professional level, with fluency in English.
