Category Lead Buyer Solar

The ENGIE Renewables Global Business Unit (R-GBU) is accelerating renewable asset development and enhancing fleet’s operational performance.

In this perspective, the R-GBU is strengthening its organization and decided to allocate dedicated resources to key Equipment procurement activities as well as their relevant long term service agreements.

These procurement activities are carried out by a dedicated global team integrated at global and local level within the R-GBU organization, as one global team.

Your position would be : Category Lead Buyer Solar PV for the Europe Operational Area, with a specific focus on the following countries: Spain, Portugal and Italy. You will be based in Spain (Madrid)

You will be part of a network of Category Lead Buyers located in the different R-GBU Operational Areas, i.e. the Category Team, and you will be providing support when needed to these R-GBU operational Areas under Group Solar Category Manager’s drive to whom you will report. Group Category Manager will provide necessary support for the success of your mission, define your yearly objectives and evaluate your performance.

Your mission will consist of the following:
In Strategic Procurement, you:

- ensure knowledge about local BD pipeline and Equipment RFQ scheduling is regularly updated, as key inputs for the procurement strategies
- provide support to the Group Category Manager in market intelligence and procurement strategy definition, in particular for the countries you focus on.
- implement the procurement strategy, frame agreements and the procurement process in your perimeter.
- contribute to the continuous improvement of the procurement process.
- lead local supplier qualification and relationship management.

In Operational procurement, as part of the project team in delivery phase then as support to operations, you
- lead the tender process, including the negotiation phase, for the supply and services agreements of the following Key Equipment: ITS, MMS and SCADA, in compliance with Group Procurement governance and with the Category Procurement Strategy.
- prepare and document the selection proposal, then ensure the selection gets approvals according to governance..
- prepare the project agreement for local signature.
- support the project manager / operation manager in contract management.
- Assess the supplier performance per project and report it to the Category Manager.
- calculate and report the procurement performance within the existing corporate tools
- Consider Country especificities during contract negotiation
- prepare and document together with the BD/Project Manager the selection proposal, then ensure the selection gets approvals according to governance..
- prepare the project agreement for local signature.
- support the project manager / operation manager in contract management.
- Assess the supplier performance per project and report it to the Category Manager.
- calculate and report the procurement performance within the existing corporate tools.
- Contribute to the optimization of the PV projects, in close relationship with the Business Development team and the project technical team
- Ensure strict compliance with ENGIE Health & Safety policy
- Ensure strict compliance with ENGIE CSR policy in any procurement activity
- Manage operational supplier relationship during the project and support the project order execution and contract management
- Manage supplier performance assessment per project and report it to Category Manager

**_Education, Experience & Skills
- **

Academic education and good knowledge in industrial project procurement and project management, feeling comfortable with technical topics.

Proven experience in operational procurement.

Capable of very good communication and presentation skills on a professional level in both English and Spanish, French is a plus.

Worldwide travel activity is expected in the range of 15% to 25%.

Required academic profile and experience in short:

- 5 to 10 years of relevant procurement experience, and/or in project management, BD or contract management in projects.
- Proven high negotiation capabilities.
- Experience in multicultural teams, including members in remote location.
- Experience in the renewable energy sector, especially in the onshore wind sector, is a big plus.
