Technology PMO Director

The Technology PMO Director forms part of the newly established Technology Transformation and Strategy Office. The role oversees the global technology project management office, which includes defining and developing companywide Technology project management practices, governance processes and metrics for the technology organisation.**About You**

**Responsibilities**:
**With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to**:

- Understanding strategic goals and guiding the investment allocation, including monitoring and reporting against investment objectives
- Providing leadership and continued development for the team that develops and maintains a formally identified set of projects which form the technology project portfolio.
- Quantifies project benefits in a way that will enable objective evaluation of projects against company objectives and thereby aid project approval decision-making.
- Promotes adoption of processes, templates, tools and metrics to ensure successful completion of projects.
- Interfaces and co-ordinates with corporate strategic planning functions and key stakeholders (business partners and technology leads) to ensure proper project and resource management.
- Monitors and analyses impact to the existing technology portfolio when new projects are being assessed. Works with service and project managers to identify alternative strategies (resources, project sequencing, etc) for accomplishing desired projects.
- Works with business, service and project managers or via business relationship managers to identify projects relationships that will affect the technology priority and resource allocation decisions.
- Ensures that all required data for making program decisions is complete and available for decision-making.
- Manages resource allocation /constraints affecting successful completion of projects.
- Partners with Technology Finance Lead to ensure accurate capturing, tracking and presentation of the project portfolio forecasts and actual status.

Skills and Experience

**The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy**
- 15+ years’ experience in project management of which 10+ years of leading PMO and team
- Computer Science, Information Systems and/or Business Administration preferred
- Qualification in PMI, Prince 2 or equivalent
- Background in IT Management; extensive knowledge and experience in project/program management, portfolio management methodologies and tools.
- Strategic business focus and understanding
- Extensive organisation, communication and facilitation skills - able to engage with senior leaders with impact and influence.
