**BUNGE** has an exciting opportunity available for a **Finance Controller** (WE) to provide support for statutory and other financial reporting, internal controls / SOX compliance, continuous improvement of financial processes and strengthening of the control environment in Western - Europe: Spain, Italy, Portugal, France and Netherlands.

**More on the **Finance Controller role**:
Our future colleague will oversee performance of RTR, OTC, PTP and Middle Office processes as executed by BBS (Bunge Business Services) and act as main point of contact.

**Some additional responsibilities will be**:

- Reviewing financial statements before submission and work with BBS and relevant W-Europe functions to timely investigate and resolve financial reporting issues.
- Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of statutory accounts and other relevant financial reporting requirements and manage local relationship with external auditor.
- Responsible for various reporting requirements, including central banks and statistical reporting.
- Support W-Europe Controller and local finance with statutory financial reporting, tax reporting and other relevant reporting requirements for Spain/The Netherlands (as applicable), Italy, France and Portugal.
- Support W-Europe Controller with the annual SOX cycle, including management testing and monitoring remediation of financial reporting issues, control deficiencies and Management Action Plans.
- Support projects, inclusion implementation / upgrade of IT systems and process & procedure improvements.
- Degree in Economics, Business Administration or equivalent financial qualification (certified public accountant is a plus).
- +/- 5 years in accounting and / or controlling; experience in agricultural commodity or food business preferred.
- Strong technical expertise and knowledge of relevant accounting standards and SOX.
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work independently; proactive approach towards problems and issues.
- Flexibility to prioritize multiple responsibilities and activities, while working with strict and tight deadlines.
- High level of interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with different levels and functions.
- Knowledge of SAP Finance and financial reporting/consolidation systems (Hyperion, One Stream).
- Fluent in Spanish, English and French. Other languages in the region will be a plus (Italian, Portuguese and Dutch) preferred.
