**EXO TECHNICAL PACKAGING TECHNICIAN**

**ROLE AND DEPARTMENT**

The responsibility of the Technical Packaging Technician role is to develop and execute primary/secondary/tertiary packaging components (depending on project needs) and create, maintain and administer associated packaging specifications to enable production at Third Party Manufacturers to Coty's standards.

Operating within Coty's technical specification system (Prosper), and defined packaging development processes, the Technical Packaging Support role will liaise with Research & Development Packaging to ensure fit-for use packaging and specifications are available, whilst engaging with multiple functions to input into the SAP Masterdata process.

The role supports new initiatives and also ensures on-going production across our portfolio, with focus on improving the quality and cost performance of these products.

**THE ROLE**
- Create technical specifications in collaboration with Research & Development Packaging.
- Primary and Secondary packaging development for new product launches (when not covered by R&D packaging).
- Timely completion of specification set-up, review and approvals in the Prosper System (technical specification system).
- Direct input into systems Material Masterdata (SAP) enrichment
- Attend project review meetings and technical meetings with the rest of the Team and also with the TPMs
- Involvement in trials at the suppliers and TPMs to qualify and validate production runs
- Identifying and owning improvement projects within the department.

**WHAT YOU'LL BRING**

Essential:

- Fluent English language: speaking, reading, writing.
- Bachelor's degree in packaging / engineering / design or similar technical vocation.
- Tech-savvy, competency to learn and operate within proprietary web-based database system and with Microsoft Office software: Excel/Outlook/Word/Powerpoint/etc
- Previous experience in packaging roles. Basic understanding of packaging technologies; cartons / glass / plastics / alu, etc...
- Enthusiastic and motivated technical graduate looking for first experience within fast-moving, multi-national beauty company.

Desirable:

- Any experience working in SAP system
- Basic understanding of Industrial standard ISO / AQL criteria
