The role, as part of the EMEA team, will be involved in the activities associated with the product life cycle (design, delivery, operation, and end of life) focusing on projects that will provide connectivity solutions to Data Center, Offices and Retail Stores. The Platform Engineer will participate in transversal tasks guiding service partners and vendors to ensure successful execution of projects. A focus of the role is on automation and standardization of our connectivity environment (network and security) guaranteeing the security by design. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborates in the design, engineering and architecture processes associated to Connectivity Products focused on firewall, remote access and webfiltering technologies. - Refines appropriate outline ideas for the evaluation, development, and definition of Project/Program Plans - Contributes to the assessment (even risk overview), analysis, planning and design of work orders associated to projects/programs. - Leads the deployment of work orders coordinating key stakeholders (Business Units, Service Providers, Vendors) - Assures project/program delivery quality through the definition and the evaluation of acceptance tests. - Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures. - Gathers information to enable change management, problem management or incident management. - Support with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures. What we are looking for: - Four-year college or university degree with focus on IT, or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity - Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive work experience, at least 2 years in an IT/Security operations role. - Fluent spoken and written command of English. - Required technical skills: - 2 years’ experience in security devices (Checkpoint, ZScaler), including certification or equivalent experience, detailed understanding of corporate LAN, WLAN, WAN and SASE environments. - Nice to have technical skills - Security technologies: firewall, IPS, VPN and webfiltering experience and certification is an advantage. - Ability to work in a largely outsourced environment. - Being familiar with security policies and controls. - Problem solving skills and hands-on attitude - Be able to compose new standards and document technical processes. - Working co-operatively (rather than competitively) with others to achieve a common goal. - Being proactive and creative.
