**Who are we?**

We are the DEUS initiative, and we are all about exploring AI in the service of humanity. No, we are not calling ourselves gods(), but our name is a reference to _‘deus ex machina’_ (or god from the machine in Latin). We believe that artificial intelligence technologies such as machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing will have a massive impact on the way we live — and we want to make sure that we create a positive impact on the world with these AI services.

As a happy coincidence, DEUS is also an acronym representing the quadrivium of key disciplines we believe are important to building successful AI-powered services**:D**ata / **E**ngineering / **U**ser-experience design / **S**trategy.

DEUS is a new initiative, but the founders have been working together very successfully for years, so there is a comfortable family feel to the company. We have an amazing set of international client partnerships (and projects/challenges). Our headquarters is located in the heart of Amsterdam. We also have a team in Portugal based out of the beautiful city of Porto (with an office close to the beach), and our Spanish team is based in the charming center of A Coruña.

**Who are you?**
- You’ve just finished your higher vocational training of Executive Assistance, Tourism, or related studies.
- You’re eligible to do a full-time paid internship for the next 12 months.
- You are an outgoing and effective communicator.
- You can speak and write in both English and in Spanish. Dutch and/or Portuguese are a plus
- You have a hands-on approach and a proactive attitude.
- You have strong organizational skills and great attention to detail.
- You are an affable, sociable, and empathetic person, who enjoys working with and for people.
- You have some experience - or at least a strong interest
- in customer service roles.
- You are curious about technology and artificial intelligence. That’s a big plus

We are looking for a real team player

- You are available to start on September 1st.
- You will be the heart of the office, responsible for creating a welcoming space and atmosphere for you and your colleagues. For that reason, we need you working on-site from DEUS’s charming office in the center of A Coruña.

**Some of the tasks you might be doing in this role**:

- Acting as the first point of contact for day-to-day office matters and supporting your direct colleagues.
- Managing the organization of company meetings, like food, drinks, meeting room setup, etc.
- Ensuring good internal communication on office matters.
- Supporting the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
- Managing incoming physical mail (yes, it still exists).
- Sending invoices to our finance department.
- Assisting our Travel and Events department when needed.
- Day to day office maintenance.
- Stock supply (groceries, office supplies, hardware ordering etc).
