Associate Procurement Trainee Indirects

Ecolab is seeking a **Procurement Trainee **for our Supply Chain Center of Excellence in Barcelona.

The primary objective of this internship is to assist our Procurement team in a varied portfolio of innovation, business continuity and supply assurance projects. Typically reporting to Project Lead.

Position Details: Located in Barcelona, Spain

**What You Will Do**
- Run simple RFx events and negotiate contract agreements for various services
- Prepare and edit contracts between the company and potential suppliers
- Assess supplier performance to identify the need for amendments of existing contracts
- Assist to create a logical plan, realistic estimates and schedule for an activity or project segment, coordinate and direct completion
- Assess the risk associated with the process and the respective mitigation plan for each risk identified
- Proactively propose process improvement ideas which can reduce time, cost, improved accuracy or enhance controls

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Supply Chain, Business, Engeenering)
- Ability to understand complex issues in a comprehensible way and to communicate to a wide circle of customers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details
- Stakeholder Obsessed - Analyzing and Finding “What is the problem/issue for the stakeholder” (and) “What question am I solving”.

**Additional Qualifications**
- Intermediate knowledge with MS Office Tools, Advanced knowledge of Excel is a plus
- Degree/Experience in Supply-chain / Procurement /Project Management is a plus
- Most of all, looking for people with a real passion for learning and willing to grow
