The name Hasler is a worldwide synonymous with Swiss Quality and represents a leading reference for the state of the art products supplied to the market. **Role**: The System Engineer is a technical expert within the customer project. Supports other engineers in regards to technical questions and tools. Provides expertise and consulting to the customer to technical questions and problems. He/she writes technical project documentation, makes configurations and executes functional tests. He/she commissions HaslerRail’s products on the train and provides training to the customer as internal technical personal. The system engineer supports the Solution Architect during the bid phase. **Key responsibilities and tasks**: - Requirements management for creating the System Specification - Technical interface with the customer and internal employees - Generates and manages the technical project documentation and deliverables - Makes the configurations for the projects being developed - Is responsible for the correct configuration control of the project, for both Hardware and Software - Define test equipment and tooling requirements and ensure their timely availability - Specifies and executes system tests according to the project requirements - Supports the technical work of the other engineers in the project team - Supports the customer in case of technical questions and problems during the customer project - Performs the commissioning and training of the Customer - Perform and/or monitor tests and perform real-time analysis of test results Release test analysis & correlation reports after test completion - Supports the Solution Architect during the bid phase (CbC, technical documentation) **Qualifications and skills**: - University degree in electrical or electronic engineering or similar disciplines - Strong system’s analysis skills - Definition and traceability of requirements - Planning and organization of integration, verification and validation - Capability to read and understand drawings and schematics - Ability to analyze and detect malfunctions and bugs - Ability to work in a multi-cultural / multi-language environment - Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task - Ability to communicate issues clearly to both business and technology professionals - Availability for short-term travel (2 - 10 days) as need - Learning capacity - Positive attitude, commitment and teamwork - English Communication Skills are excellent, both written and spoken - German is a valuable asset for the position
