**Selection Process**
The selection process at UIC Barcelona includes the following stages:
**What we’re looking for**
We are seeking an **R3-level researcher and lecturer** with a strong track record in neurometabolic diseases and biomedical analysis methodologies. - with a PhD in fields related to **neuroendocrinology**mainly in the following fields but not limited to: neuroscience, metabolism (diabetes, obesity), neurometabolism, and medical technology, with demonstrated expertise in animal models and advanced biomedical techniques. Also, experience in **academic** **coordination and mentoring** will be highly valuable.
**Main responsibilities**
- Conduct independent and collaborative research in the field of neurometabolism, with a focus on central regulation of metabolic diseases.
- Biomedical analysis techniques
- Advanced methodologies in biomedical sciences
- Experimental models in biomedicine
- Lead or contribute to the coordination and management of official master’s programs in biomedical sciences.
- Participate in the academic life of the department, including mentoring students and engaging in curriculum development.
- Actively contribute to the department's research in Biomedicine, specifically in biosensors and biomedical device design.
- A PhD in a discipline related to the position.
- AQU or ANECA (or similar) accreditation.
- Proven record of effective and high-quality teaching at undergraduate and master’s level.
- Oral and written proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Ability to lead research projects, secure funding, and supervise students at all levels.
- Willingness to integrate into existing departmental research lines and contribute to team initiatives.
- Excellent track record of publications.
- Participation in competitive research grants and experience in international research collaborations.
- Expertise in advanced biomedical technologies and experimental models
**We offer**:
- A full-time contract in a dynamic and international scientific environment in the Department of Biomedical Sciences (Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences) at UIC Barcelona (Health Sciences Campus, Sant Cugat del Vallès).
- Lab bench in a wet lab and use of the Department’s scientific equipment.
- Start date: December 2025
