In MAHLE you will have the opportunity to work in one of the most powerful multinationals in the automotive sector, with great opportunities for professional development and surrounded by a multicultural environment with colleagues who share your passion for technology and mobility.- As a Project Buyer in MAHLE you will be part of the compressor purchasing team, responsible for preparing material costs and vendor tooling for acquisition. You will be responsible for tracking performance to these material costs and project timelines once the business is assigned. The role also includes sending RFQs to bid list suppliers, working cross-functionally to evaluate supplier offerings/capabilities, sourcing suppliers and ultimately negotiating supply agreements with the selected supplier(s).**How can you become part of our success?**- Provide material costs using the project buying tool or FACTON (once adopted) in support of acquisitions.
- Interface with product engineering to understand electronics bill of materials and requirements.
- Send RFQs to suppliers on the bid list, analyze results and complete the sourcing process for each new part.
- Negotiate and execute supply agreements for each newly sourced part.
- Track performance to business case numbers and sourcing timing once the business is awarded.
- Ensure RFQ dashboards are kept up to date.
- Process prototype orders.**What skills do you need?**
- BS degree in Engineering, BS and/or MBA Business or Supply Chain.
- 3 years of experience in purchasing/supply chain is preferred. Automotive experience is a plus.
- Advanced Excel, negotiation and project management skills.
- Knowledge of mechatronic/electronics markets is advantageous.
- Understanding and use of costs drivers and market dynamics in the assigned commodities.
- Good results orientation and strong work ethic.
