About the Role:
At Creators International School, we believe that a vibrant Learning Hub is essential for fostering a love of learning and supporting academic excellence. As the School Librarian and Learning Hub Lead, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a state-of-the-art Learning Hub that caters to the diverse needs of our students and staff. You will provide leadership and guidance on research skills and ethical approaches to project work, ensuring that our students are well-equipped to excel in their academic pursuits.

We seek a visionary leader who can create an enriching and inviting learning space that inspires curiosity and creativity. You will partner with teachers to design project work and provide the best resources, both digital and non-digital, to support our students' learning journeys. Your role will be instrumental in shaping the future leaders and innovators of tomorrow.

Key Responsibilities:

- Establish and maintain a vibrant Learning Hub with a wide range of digital and non-digital resources.
- Provide leadership and guidance to students and staff on research skills and ethical approaches to project work.
- Partner with teachers to design project work and provide the best resources to support student learning.
- Create an enriching and inviting learning space that fosters a love of learning and supports academic excellence.
- Develop and implement programs and initiatives to promote literacy, research skills, and ethical use of information.
- Manage the Learning Hub's budget, resources, and staff to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in library science, educational technology, and information literacy.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for students and staff within the Learning Hub.
- Organize and host events, workshops, and activities to engage the school community and promote the Learning Hub's resources.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
- Preferably have an EU passport or already have the right to work in Spain.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field.
- Valid Librarian Certification or equivalent, EU recognised.
- Strong experience in international schools or educational institutions, with a track record of success in managing library and learning resources.
- Expertise in digital and non-digital resource management, research skills, and information literacy.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.
- Accomplished in using technology and digital tools to enhance learning and teaching.
- Familiarity with current international standards and best practices in library science and educational technology.
