IT Systems Manager

**We are hiring at Aspire Software for an IT Systems Manager to join our growing team in Barcelona**

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Systems Manager to join our team at Aspire Software in Spain. As an IT Systems Manager, your primary objective will be to collaborate with our support team to efficiently address support issues, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root cause analysis. You will also play a critical role in system administration tasks, focusing on improving our cloud deployments, performing preventive maintenance, and monitoring our cloud systems.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the support team: Work with the Support Director and Level 1 support to effectively resolve customer issues and provide timely assistance. Your expertise in system administration will contribute to quick and efficient incident resolution, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot and analyse root cause: Dive deep into incidents, identify the underlying causes, and perform thorough root cause analysis. Your analytical skills will help us understand the intricacies of the issues, allowing us to implement effective solutions and prevent future occurrences.
- Improve cloud deployments: Actively participate in the execution of cloud deployments, working closely with the deployment team. Your system administration knowledge will enable you to contribute to the optimization and streamlining of our deployment processes, reducing errors and enhancing efficiency.
- System administration tasks: Take ownership of system administration tasks related to our cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance activities, proactively monitoring the cloud systems, optimizing configurations, and ensuring smooth operations.
- SLA reporting: When the Service Level Agreement (SLA) is degraded, prepare detailed reports for our customers. These reports should include a comprehensive analysis of the incident, its root cause, the steps taken for resolution, and any preventive measures implemented. This level of transparency and communication will build trust and strengthen our relationships with our customers.

**What your day will look like**:

- Experience in troubleshooting complex issues and performing root cause analysis
- Attention to detail and a proactive mindset to minimize mistakes and mitigate risks
- Monitorization of infrastructure, installation and configuration of Zabbix agents
- Administration of web sites and web servers (Apache HTTP, Nginx)
- Administration of Windows servers and Linux servers, virtualization (Proxmox)
- Give continuous support to our customers in terms of systems performance, outages and incidents
- Manage cloud deployments (Arsys), perform and supervise backups policies
- Administration of internal networks, VPN, firewalls and load balancers (HAProxy knowledge is desired)
- Administration of domains and digital certificates
- Maintain and update our IT technical documentation

**About You**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field (relevant experience may substitute for formal education)
- Relevant certifications in the field of information technology (desirable)
- At least 2 years plus experience as an IT Administration is essential Previous experience: 2 years in a similar role
- Demonstrable experience in the administration of IT infrastructures, including servers, networks, and operating systems
- Profound knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience in implementing and managing IT security systems, such as firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and across multiple departments
- Fluent in Spanish and at least a professional level of English both written and verbal, is essential
- Knowledge in the following areas (communications, computer engineering, server infrastructure, Server Virtualizations) is essential
- Must be legally authorised to work in Spain
