**Grid Connection Engineer**:

**X-ELIO i**s a top developer in the solar sector, with a strong track record of delivering 5 GW of renewable energy projects in 13 countries across 5 continents.- Owned by Brookfield, **X-ELIO **is focused on developing and constructing highly profitable and eco-friendly solar, energy storage, and H2 plants.- With over 13 GW of new projects in development in 7 key markets,** there are endless opportunities for growth and success at X-ELIO**.- Reporting to the Sr Grid Connection Engineer and based in **Madrid**, we are looking for a **Grid Connection Engineer.**
- The selected professional will be responsible for managing all stages of HV grid connection design of renewable projects.**What will you do?**
- Supervision and optimization of conceptual/schematic/detailed design of HV grid connection design, including calculations, technical specifications and drawings.
- Quantity Survey and budgeting of designs to produce the design BOQ.
- Manage and communicate engineering/technical input to site evaluation and characterization.
- Support the representation of X-ELIO in meetings, negotiation with clients, suppliers, consultants, utilities and regulatory authorities.

**What do we need?**
- BEng, with focus on Electrical engineering.
- A master’s degree in Photovoltaic, Renewable Energy or similar would be considered a plus.
- Minimum experience in the design of MV/HV electromechanical design of substation and UG/OH lines: 1-2 years.
- Knowledge of HV Interconnection design in accordance with TSO and DSO standardsLanguages: English, Spanish. Knowledge of Italian will be considered a plus.
- Computer / Design Software literacy:Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point);
- Knowledge in ETAP simulation tool is a plus.
