IT Project Manager

You will report into the Portfolio and IT Transformation Director and be part of the IT Strategy Realization Group. In this role, you will lead the diagnostic, design and execution of critical strategic technology projects that transform our business, our ecommerce platform, our customer experience and our ways of working. You will have the opportunity to lead a large variety of challenging and career-defining projects.

**Key responsibilities**:
In this role, you will:

- Manage the delivery of 1-2 strategic technology projects, which involve significant software development from multiple development teams, are cross-functional in nature and tackle difficult business or customer requirements.
- Lead the definition of the project, including:

- Defining the project team, stakeholders and governance.
- Ensuring the project has a project sponsor and a project owner from Business, Product or IT.
- Preparing and holding kick off session and any required workshops to design the project approach, structure the actual work, splitting it by deliverables / MVP and successive iterations.
- Collaborating with Business, Product and Architecture colleagues to define the solution to the business/ customer problem.
- Defining the business case (success metrics, measurements of impact and cost).
- Creating the project plan, identifying teams that need to contribute.
- Clarifying and articulating how the project will be delivered (eg dedicated team, virtual team etc.).
- Lead the delivery of the projects in line with the common project management approach to ensure delivery on time and in line with project success metrics:

- Manages technology third parties (e.g. SW vendors) where applicable.
- Ensures that all internal development teams are dedicating sufficient capacity, are engaged and knowledgeable about the project and their contribution and are committed to a timely delivery.
- Works with the product managers and lead engineers to priorities tasks for the development teams in line with the project plan, timelines and risks.
- Acts as single point of contact for the teams involved and the project stakeholders.
- Tracks and reports progress, impact and risks; forecasts deadlines & completion dates and raises need for reprioritization/ extra capacity or other corrective actions to the project sponsor.
- Resolves the dependencies with IT teams, as well as other business or product stakeholders
- Manages the risk of the project, creates and executes mitigation actions.
- Contributes to the shaping and evolution of a best-in-class project management approach in the organizational context of eDreams, to be taught to the rest of the organization.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:

- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business.
- At least 7-10 years of experience in IT project management.
- Proven project management skills in a diverse set of technology projects.
- Outstanding analytical skills.
- Strategic mindset, able to imagine and create new processes, ways of working or technology solutions.
- Hands-on mentality, a problem-solver and a driver.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills with all stakeholders.
- Outspoken, high energy level.
- Business Proficiency in English.
- Experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, online companies will be highly valued.
- Experience working in agile software development, ideally with Kanban methodologies.
