**Role Overview**
We are looking for an experienced **Principal UI Animator** who understands game production and who is very passionate about mobile games.
You will collaborate game and tech art teams to create **high-quality UI animations, VFX, and occasional character and environment animations.**You work closely with the Lead Artist to ensure that our games are full of life and energy.
Joining at a pivotal time, this role offers a significant career opportunity as the studio begins to develop its dedicated animation team.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Develop high-quality UI animations using Unity and other tools (After Effects, Spine, etc.).
Create performant particle effects within Unity. Demonstrate keen attention to detail in animation timing, easing and overall polish. Collaborate with the Lead Artist and other disciplines to ensure animations function as intended in-game. Adapt animation work across various game styles, including isometric, side view and top-down perspectives. Support and mentor game and tech artists on animation-related challenges.
- Adapt quickly to new technologies and workflows.
**Skills, Knowledge & Expertise**:
4+ years of experience as an Animator, primarily focusing on UI animations within the mobile games industry.
Extensive experience with Unity and Spine. Excellent understanding of animation implementation in Unity. Deep understanding of animation principles. Experience working in an agile development environment. An outstanding portfolio showcasing a variety of UI animations and VFX.
- Experience with character, environment and 3D animation is a big plus.
