**Job Description Summary**: Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Includes Service Shops. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.

The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (ehs, quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

**Essential Functions / Responsibilities**

The Manufacturing Shop Operations Manager is responsible for all the product lines (relays and panels), reporting to the plant manager. He/she will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for production area. Needs knowledge in production activities, in Lean philosophy, expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
- Direct process / product improvement programs and provide process method excellence throughout the organization.

.Manage all the Human Resources and Materials, following the Plan stablished, considering always all compliance, and EHS and Quality procedures.
- Provide total cell / group leadership in the attainment of goals with respect to safety, quality, cost, delivery and cash.
- Ensure assigned employees are aware / comply with all GE government, customer and applicable policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
- Improve business services levels as measured by request met, average fill rates, volume of overdues, request on time delivery, etc.
- Interface with other departments (Operations, R&D, Finance, Service, tendering,...) and vendors to assure requirements are met on time.
- Structure assigned organization and staff positions with personnel to accomplish business objectives

**Requierements**:

- Bachelor’s engineering degree from an accredited university or college
- At least 3 additional years of experience in a similar shop leadership position
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skill with a strong customer focus and ability to cooperate with different departments
- Capacity of decision and organization;
- EHS and Quality knowlegge.
- Experiences in management of human teams.
- Fluency in spanish and english
