**Job Description**:
The business area European Wind and Solar is responsible for development and ownership of wind and solar assets in Europe. The business area is also responsible for the project execution of large projects in Statkraft.

We are now expanding in several European markets and need an Investment Manager to strengthen the and Investment Team with a focus on Iberia. The team is responsible for providing investment and commercial services to Asset Owners in aspects related to Project Development, Acquisitions, valuations, partnerships and sell down processes. Members of the team are based in various offices around Europe, i.e. Oslo, Amsterdam Madrid, Paris and London. You will report to the Head of Investments and M&A Iberia based in Madrid; some travel may be required.

The Investment and commercial unit currently consist of a pool of 11 employees located across Europe and is responsible for providing support related to commercial aspects of business, project, and portfolio development in European Wind and Solar. The unit is also responsible for investor assumption used for valuation of sell-down cases and for developing and maintaining a network, relations, and partnerships with institutional investors relevant for the Business Area.

**Your role**:
In this role you will work with experienced investment managers and provide support in the financial assessment of project opportunities and investments in the wind and solar sector. The main activities and responsibilities of the investment analyst will be as follows:

- Analyzing, structuring, documentation for the origination and execution of projects, pipelines, and M&A opportunities
- Defining the business case and preparation of the project model, including various offtake alternatives
- Work closely with the project teams to ensure that all project related assumptions are correctly reflected in the model and business case
- Supporting the development team in modelling different project development scenarios (i.e., different revenue streams, PPAs, storage, layouts etc.)
- Supporting potential sell down activities together with the relevant teams
- The primary focus of the role will be the Iberian markets however the person hired will also be active supporting other European markets
- Effectively and professionally manages relationships with financial investors

**Qualifications**:
**About you**:

- University degree within relevant area with documented extensive experience in the field
- Relevant working experience in the renewables sector with Strong experience of modelling renewable energy projects, gained in a bank, an infrastructure investor, or a related advisory business
- Experience of wind and solar commercial development and M&A transactions in Iberia
- Analytically rigorous and detail oriented particularly with regards to numerical analysis, legal documentation, and written reports
- Understanding of project economics and key value drivers with a creative thinking
- Positive attitude with an ability to work on various ad hoc projects concurrently with a demonstrated ability to manage a large workload
- Professionalism and integrity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish, proficiency in aditionnal European languages would be a plus
