VHIR offers a vacancy for a Research Technician position within the Musculoskeletal Tissue Engineering Group (BST-VHIR).

**Education and qualifications**:
**Required**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry
- Specific training in qPCR, Western blot, ICC
- Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, English (CAE C1 Advanced)

**Experience and knowledge**:
**Required**:

- Proven experience in human mesenchymal stromal and human aortic smooth muscle cell culture and basic molecular and cellular biology techniques for cell characterisation
- Experience in the design of stem cell culture strategies, flow cytometry and cell differentiation.

**Desired**:

- Proven experience in international laboratories
- Proven experience in blood, cell and tissue establishments
- Good communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English
- Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, resourceful, self-motivation, team-working and social skills as key personal abilities

**Main responsibilities and duties**:

- To contribute to the development of novel cell-based therapeutics in compliance with current quality and regulatory standards.
- To write/review/update registers and/or SOPs, plan/execute/analyse/report preclinical studies.
- Provide support to lab collaborators.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Keep track of scientific and technical advances in the field of stem cell research and therapy.

**Labour conditions**:

- Full-time position: 40h/week
- Starting date: April 2025
- Duration: 4 months
- Gross annual salary: 22.823,22€
- Contract: Temporary
