**General Description**:
As an Underwriting Assistant you will form part of a dynamic team of professionals (based in the Düsseldorf Office) that focus on assisting our client, the front office (the Underwriting Department) and Back office (Finance).

You will form part of the UW Operations department and will directly report to the Underwriting (UW) Operations Manager Japanese Business of Germany - Benelux, and you will perform operative tasks specific for our core business. You will be key for an efficient Administrative Centre, as well as to comply with the company’s objectives and standards.

**Responsibilities**:
Key objectives:

- Managing the portfolio dedicated to Japanese risks in either Liability, Property and/or Marine
- Daily processing of requests from brokers, underwriters and other departments
- Deal with communication and correspondence of external parties (Fronting partners, insurance provider, Broker)
- Issuance of policy documentation (insurance policy, endorsement, renewal letter, adjustments)
- Maintaining the database up-to-date
- Keying the policy data in the Policy Administrative System
- Follow up/maintain the renewal portfolio and related documentation
- Invoicing the clients and follow up on credit control tasks
- Guarantee data quality checks
- Filing documentation
- Meeting monthly deadlines

**Requirements**:

- Several years of experience in an administrative role
- Experience in the non-life Insurance business would be a benefit
- Fluent in French, confident in English
