About The Role
As an Underwriting Assistant, based in our Barcelona office, you will directly report to the Operations Manager for Germany/Benelux based in Düsseldorf - and you will perform administrative tasks specific for our core business. You will be key for an efficient Administrative Centre, as well as to comply with the company's objectives and standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in managing the portfolio dedicated to Japanese risks in Property, Casualty and Marine – focus on Casualty portfolio
  • Daily processing of requests from brokers, underwriters and other departments
  • Issuance of policy documentation (insurance policy, endorsement, renewal letter, adjustments)
  • Maintaining the database up-to-date
  • Keying the policy data in the Policy Administrative System
  • Follow up/maintain the renewal portfolio and related documentation
  • Invoicing the clients and follow up on overdue and incorrect payments
  • Guarantee data quality checks
  • Filing documentation
  • Meeting monthly deadlines

Skills And Competencies Required
:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in an administrative role
  • Experience in the non-life Insurance business
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Availability to travel to Düsseldorf
  • Possess good analytical, numerical and organizational skills
  • High customer focus: good collaboration with colleagues, brokers and other business partners
  • Detail Oriented
  • Team player

Skills And Competencies Preferred
:

  • Experience in the Casualty line of business of Insurance is a plus
  • Qualified Insurance trades is a plus
