Manager BI

The Manager of BI & Analytics reports to the IT Director of Insights and Analytics and is a crucial role in our organization. You will be championing the development and implementation of innovative BI & Analytics solutions. Your expertise in Business Intelligence and Analytics will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying production-grade solutions at scale.

**Accountabilities**:

- Overseeing the development and implementation of BI infrastructure and tools to extract insights from data
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and solve complex business problems using advanced BI & Analytics techniques
- Designing, developing, and implementing production-grade BI & Analytics solutions that meet business requirements
- Ensuring that BI & Analytics solutions meet high-quality standards, including scalability, maintainability, and performance
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders and senior management, providing updates on the progress of BI and Analytics projects and their impact on business objectives
- Developing and maintaining pipelines to automate workflows and integrating them with existing IT systems
- Participating in all phases of BI and analytics projects, from discovery and planning through implementation and delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
- Staying up-to-date with the latest BI and analytics technologies, introducing and training team members on these technologies, and incorporating them into the strategic analytics plan.

**Essential Skills/Experience**:

- Degree in Computer Science, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in developing and deploying BI and analytics solutions in production environments
- Hands-on experience with BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or QlikSense, and data warehousing solutions like Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake
- Advanced knowledge in SQL & Python
- Understanding of BI best practices, including data extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), data visualization and monitoring
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure or GCP
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively with business stakeholders
- The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment. As is typical of an office-based role, employees must be able, with or without an accommodation to: use a computer; engage in communications via phone, video, and electronic messaging; engage in problem solving and non-linear thought, analysis, and dialogue; collaborate with others; maintain general availability during standard business hours.

**Desirable Skills/Experience**:

- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related fields
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience in data science techniques and tools, including statistical analysis, data visualization, and machine learning
