Oxford Global Resources is looking for an R&D Engineer who will play a crucial role in creating functional design concepts for an innovative range of products in a multinational company. As an R&D Engineer, you will be responsible for developing new products, testing designs, overseeing development projects and driving the redesign of existing products.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating and developing new products as well as specification sheets, and improving existing products based on customer
- needs, customer insights and strategic drivers.
- Collaborate with the engineering and marketing department on product feasibility.
- Responsible for testing prototype products for functionality, ease-of-use, and longevity.
- Ensure that R&D and New product development process is established, documented, implemented and followed according to the company's QMS.
- Ensure that our products incorporate new materials and manufacturing processes that could improve our P&L by being in contact with technological centers and universities.
- Organization, coordination and/or participation in working teams aimed at generating new products ideas/Concepts (internal & external collaborations)
- Ensure that our products meet present and future standards and regulatory changes by participating in International Standardization committees.
- Build, plan and monitor the new product development projects, to ensure its progress with all involved parties on a regular basis.
- Ensuring time to market milestones are meet.
- Cooperate with Project Engineers to conduct business cases and product cost.
- Create full product designs and specifications using computer software modeling techniques.
- Select product materials and define the product manufacturing process.
- Manage the prototyping phase of selected ideas (3D models & functional prototypes)
- Manage all phases of product creation and lead multiple teams of professionals in the research and development chain.
- Organize and plan product validations, by coordinating, sample and prototype workshop together with quality and manufacturing centers.
- Work closely with parts and machinery suppliers to improve existing parts and to develop new parts with product performance, manufacturability and cost in mind.
- Perform market research to determine what types of products might be successful among consumers, research product ideas to determine their viability, and research how existing products on the market are performing.
- Support project and engineering teams to pilot and scale-up testing and validation plans including production trials with the final product.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, industrial, or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of industry experience is desired. Experience in a fast-paced R&D environment is helpful.
- Strong understanding of physics and mechanical design.
- Proficient with computer design software (preferably **Inventor**) and the basics of GD&T.
- Experience working with machine shops and sourcing of components.
- Experience with plastic parts design.
- Experience with 3D design software, such as, Inventor, Solidworks or others, including CAE simulation, Office 365, project management tools.
- English is a must. Other European languages are a plus.
- Experience with project management.
- Excellent communication skills.
