Head of Accounting Tax

**Job Purpose**
You will manage the Accounting and Tax area, overseeing all facets of accounting operations and tax preparation, advising on strategic decisions and contributing to the continuous improvement of Vueling's key projects.

Main Accountabilities*

Accounting and Tax*
- Establish the annual and final accounts, guaranteeing their conformity and reliability under Spanish and international regulations.
- Manage the relationship with the person in charge of the group's accounting policy as well as external and internal auditors.
- Responsible for statutory reporting.
- Tax supervision.
- Contribute to the improvement or establishment of management information systems.
- Supervise the internal control team and participate in the implementation of new standards and regulations (IAS/IFRS, Spanish GAAP).
- Participate in the definition of the company's strategy (and its operational decline), to animate the financial communication and to supervise the internal audit and quantify accounting risks.

Business Insights*
- Collaborate in the preparation of financial analysis, group investments and financial impacts.
- Define and model the main cash flow drivers and monitor budget vs reality.
- Contribute in the modeling of unit costs and balance sheet items of the company.

Cash Management*
- Manage treasury team of 5 people located in GBS Crackovia, payment schedule, ensure compliance with policies and processes.
- Continuous supervision and analysis (management, coordination of collections, payments, treasury budget, incidences...).
- Bank financing rounds, bank optimization, cost optimization, review and fulfillment of agreed conditions and risk monitoring.
- Monthly closing, management reporting, group reporting, etc.
- Elaboration of cash-flow, budgets and presentations.
- Interlocution with external (banking entities, auditors, professional services) and internal (departments and various stakeholders).

**Education**
- Bachelor's degree in Economics or Business Administration. MBA is an asset.

Experience*
- 5 years of experience in financial management position leading teams.
- Strong knowledge of Spanish and international regulations, IFRS Accounting and Tax.
- Previous experience in relevant financial companies in the market.
- Experience in consultancy is highly desirable.
- Experience in Treasury and/or risk analysis is highly desirable.
