**IE School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs**

The IE School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs is running a Bachelor in International relations (BIR) and a Bachelor in Economics (BIE) which prepares students to impact economic and business performance; to improve people’s lives in both the public and private sectors; and to have a deep understanding of human behavior, economic environments and markets. In addition, the School has been running since several years degrees with Law (LLBBIR), with Business Administration (BBABIR), with Economics (BIEBIR) and Applied Mathematics (BIEBAM). The Bachelor in International Relations prepares students for a career on the international level, in a wide variety of fields spanning public, private and non-profit sectors. It is a multifaceted, cross-sector program that equip them with the necessary hard and soft skills to influence policy on a global level and impact change in society. **The Position: Manager, Undergraduate Programs**

The Junior Manager is responsible for the designing, coordinating and implementing extracurricular activities to ensure a world-class BIE and BIR experience for students.

The Junior Manager will report to the Associate Directors and Associate Vice-Dean of undergraduate programs of the School. The Junior Manager will also work in a team with a Program assistant and will interact with Faculty, Students, different departments of IE and external agencies required for running the programs.

The post will be located in the campus in Madrid and might include a few visits to the other campus in Segovia.

**Responsibilities**:
**Key Action Areas**

**Program Development and Management**:

- Manage the day-to-day implementation of extracurricular activities to ensure its successful delivery.
- Coordinate and supervise the key administrative processes to improve and implement new initiatives.
- Plan and organize a diverse range of extracurricular activities, including events, workshops, seminars, conferences, competitions, trips, etc.
- Collaborate with different departments at IE and external partners to ensure the seamless execution of extracurricular activities and events.
- Develop and track a yearly calendar of events, taking into consideration the academic schedule and students' interests.
- Conduct regular evaluations of extracurricular programs to assess their impact and effectiveness and to make informed decisions and implement improvements for future extracurricular activities.
- Interact with potential and current partners and identify potential opportunities for collaboration.
- Supervise, coordinate and coach IE collaborators.
- Ensure adequate coordination with the rest of the School units on the design and execution of activities.

**Student Engagement**:

- Act as a liaison between students and the School, actively seeking student input and feedback to tailor extracurricular activities to their needs and preferences.
- Promote student participation and engagement in extracurricular activities, fostering a sense of community within the School.
- Identify ways to improve the student experience and engagement.
- Meet with students to discuss proposed events and support them with the implementation.
- Foster relationships with club officers to collaborate on various events and initiatives.

**Communications**:

- Design and develop materials to promote extracurricular activities and events.
- Utilize various communication channels to keep students informed about upcoming events and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain and enhance policy guidelines and other materials for students.

**Administration**:

- Logistical coordination for the execution of events and extracurricular activities.
- Carry out any other related task requested by the senior management.

Qualifications:
**Requirements**:

- Bilingual, or advanced proficiency, in English and Spanish (written and oral).
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience, including supervisory functions.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in higher education management would be highly valuable.
- Having an academic or professional background in International Relations or Economics is preferred but not essential.
- A track record of customer interface, excellent organization skills, and a “can-do attitude”.
- Strong management capabilities
- Solid ability to work under pressure and high level of accountability.
- Ability to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams.
