Barcelona, España Veeva Systems, Inc. A tiempo completo

Veeva Systems is a mission-driven organization and pioneer in industry cloud, helping life sciences companies bring therapies to patients faster. As one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies in history, we surpassed $2B in revenue in our last fiscal year with extensive growth potential ahead.

At the heart of Veeva are our values: Do the Right Thing, Customer Success, Employee Success, and Speed. We're not just any public company - we made history in 2021 by becoming a public benefit corporation (PBC), legally bound to balancing the interests of customers, employees, society, and investors.

As a Work Anywhere company, we support your flexibility to work from home or in the office, so you can thrive in your ideal environment.

We are looking for a detail-oriented Associate Counsel to join our fast-paced, customer-centric legal team to support our internal business partners. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

In this role, you will:
Review and negotiate a range of vendor contracts and provide related legal support to internal business partners in a decentralized procurement environment. Contracts include complex technology agreements, copyright license agreements, non-disclosure agreements, services agreements, media and advertising agreements, event venue agreements, software license agreements, consulting agreements, and leases.

Assist in maintaining a vendor contract database and perform other legal operations functions.

Assist in developing processes, templates, playbooks, and self-service contract tools as Veeva continues to grow.

1. Why do you think this job would be a good fit for you at this time of your career growth?

2. Tell me a memorable contract story.

**What You'll Do**
- Review, redline, and negotiate vendor contracts
- Respond to contract review requests, consulting directly with internal business partners to define contract requirements, verify details, and provide advice as needed
- Respond to inquiries regarding internal procurement processes and contract interpretation
- Use an electronic signing platform to send contracts for signature and file signed contracts in a contracts database
- Work with team, internal clients, and other stakeholders to define requirements for purchasing agreements and develop playbooks, templates, and other resources
- Coordinate with the finance team and other stakeholders
- Other ad hoc special assignments

**Requirements**:

- Graduate of an accredited law school and licensed to practice law
- 1+ years of transactional experience reviewing, redlining, and negotiating commercial agreements

- Self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and produce high-quality work
- Advanced proficiency using MS Word, including document editing, redlining and comparison functions, as well as Adobe and G-Suite tools
- Ability to bring positive energy and a high-quality customer service approach to responsibilities

**Nice to Have**
- Competency in Portuguese, French, or German
- Experience with financial services agreements (audit/tax), marketing agreements, and insurance policies/insurance terms in commercial contracts
- Experience with international transactions and agreements

**Work Where It’s Best for You**:
Work Anywhere means you can work in an office or at home on any given day. It’s about getting the work done in the way and place that works best for each person. This applies across all locations and departments.

Work Anywhere does not mean work at any time. We have predictable core hours where employees are generally available for meetings and collaboration. Employees are focused and available during core hours.

We invest in our offices to make them places where our employees like to go. If you work in the office three or more days a week, you will have a dedicated office workspace. Our offices function as hubs to draw people in, create social bonds, and where random connections and mixing of ideas happen. We’re investing more in offices, culture, and offsite meetings, not less.

Product teams are organized in regional product hubs for optimal collaboration and live within a time zone of their hub. Our current product hubs are located in Pleasanton, Colu
