**Job Description**:
The AECOM Madrid Design Office is currently looking for a **Bridge Structural Engineer **to join our experienced and talented team working on important projects across the world. The team provides assessment from concept, to detailed designs on a wide range of Projects, either as standalone bridge commissions or as part of multidisciplinary major projects. Our group has an established track record of successfully delivering bridge engineering design for many years in different countries around the world.

Due to our current growth, we are looking to hire an experienced Engineer interested in developing within the structures discipline to enhance our** bridges works.**

This is an opportunity to gain valuable experience in different designs, standards and become part of a growing international team.

The responsibilities of the role are primarily:

- Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts, including structural calculation.
- Conducts medium complex value engineering evaluations, determining alternative designs, materials, construction techniques
- Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others. Approves and signs off on work.
- Accountable for the results of the team and adherence to agreed budget for a specific package of work.
- Delivers effective communication inclusive of clients and team members to clarify expectations and requirements.
- Interdisciplinary coordination with other departments.

**Qualifications**:
Structural & MSc Civil Engineer with, at least, 7 years’ experience in Bridge Engineering (including design and calculation).
- Proven experience in international bridge design projects in any of the following: railway, road, metro, monorail, etc.
- Knowledge in Codes/Standards such as: Spanish National Codes, AASHTO/ACI/ASTM, Eurocodes.
- Languages: English fluent, written and spoken.

Experience in the following is desired:

- MIDAS-Civil, STATIK / CEDRUS (Cubus) / ETABS / SAP2000, SCIA.
- BIM platforms - REVIT, TEKLA.
- Availability to travel and work for specific short periods of time in other countries
