The IT Security Administrator is a vital member of an organization's cybersecurity team responsible for safeguarding the organization's digital assets, information systems, and sensitive data from cyber threats. This role involves monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents, as well as implementing security measures and controls to maintain the overall security posture of the organization's IT infrastructure. The IT Security Analyst works closely with other IT professionals to identify vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.

**Security Monitoring and Incident Response**:

- Investigate and analyze security incidents to identify the source, extent of the breach, and potential impact.
- Develop and execute incident response plans to contain and mitigate security breaches promptly.
- Document and report security incidents, including the actions taken for resolution.

**Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing**:

- Identify and assess potential security weaknesses and collaborate with relevant teams to address and remediate them.
- Stay informed about the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

**Security Controls Implementation**:

- Assist in the design and implementation of security controls, policies, and procedures to protect the organization's systems and data.

**Security Compliance and Auditing**:

- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards, regulations, and internal policies.
- Participate in security audits and assessments, responding to audit findings, and implementing necessary improvements.

**Threat Intelligence and Analysis**:

- Monitor threat intelligence sources to stay informed about emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct research and analysis to understand the nature of specific threats and their potential impact on the organization.

**Security Awareness and Training**:

- Assist in developing and delivering security awareness training for employees to promote a security-conscious culture.
- Educate employees on safe computing practices and how to recognize and report security incidents.

**Security Incident Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain detailed records of security incidents, investigations, and remediation efforts.
- Generate regular reports on security incidents, trends, and the effectiveness of security measures.

**Security Technology Management**:Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of security tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security solutions.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are advantageous
- Proven experience in IT security, incident response, or a related field
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cybersecurity principles
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies used in monitoring and defending against cyber threats
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze security logs and data for potential threats
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills to report security incidents and interact with various stakeholders
- Must be currently residing in Spain
