**Job Purpose**
A Strategy Manager develops and owns key elements of the Strategy department’s overall agenda.
**Main Accountabilities**
- Articulate Vueling’s evergreen strategic plan and competitive strategy, and champion their consistent implementation across the company
- Translate Vueling’s market development strategy into specific growth objectives and long-term growth plans
- Screen for inorganic growth opportunities, and manage inorganic growth initiatives
- Be Vueling’s resident expert on its competitive landscape, including forecasting how that landscape will evolve in the medium and long term
- Construct data analyses and models to answer strategy-related questions
- Independently lead small to mid-sized special projects
- Remain flexible to perform other duties as needed, as the role can be dynamic
**Education**
Bachelor's degree
**Experience**
- Ideally: Experience in airlines, consulting firms, or internal strategy functions
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
**Competencies**
- Facilitating executive-level decision-making by researching issues, analysing options, and framing and facilitating effective discussions
- Executing end-to-end quantitative data analysis, including conceiving the analytical approach and logic; locating, pulling, and cleaning data from internal and external sources; executing error-free analysis, typically using Excel; and synthesising outputs into well-designed charts and commentary
- Staying continuously abreast of industry news and trends, from multiple information sources
- Engaging in multiple projects simultaneously
- Planning, organising, and driving own work with mínimal supervision
- Adapting to changes in direction or priorities in a dynamic environment
- Communicating regularly and effectively with teammates and stakeholders to foster a strong sense of “team”
- Building trust with all levels of employees up to and including executive leaders
- Working effectively in a multi-cultural organisation
- Properly managing sensitive and confidential information.

**Other**
- Developing and delivering effective informational presentations, typically using PowerPoint.
