**Who are we?**

Since 1980, restaurant China Garden has been located at the most beautiful spot in Vlaardingen. The building was demolished and rebuilt in 2019. In 2020 we opened the doors of this brand new building. With a contemporary design, elegant ambiance and panoramic view of the Maas, located close to Vlaardingen Centrum metro station, this restaurant has its own roof terrace.

**Who are you?**

As Specialty chef for the Chinese cuisine (level 4) you play a very important role in our team. You are responsible for the (pre) preparation of the dishes and make an important mark on the culinary level of the company. You ensure that the dishes are prepared carefully and on time and quality is on top of your list.

**Job requirements**:

- Mastery of all knowledge and skills of cook level 4.
- You are in possession of a Social Hygiene (Social Responsibility) and HACCP certificate
- You have knowledge and proven practical experience in cooking Chinese specialty dishes e.g. Mapo Tofu, King Pao chicken
- You have at least 2 years of work experience as a specialty cook in Chinese cuisine (preferred)
- You will create new specialties that will attract guests
- You work quick and accurate
- You are a real team player
- You have excellent communication skills and can communicate fluently in Dutch, English or Chinese
- You have excellent time management skills

**Responsibilities**:

- You provide an attractive presentation of the food
- You monitor and control food supplies
- You experiment with recipes and propose new ingredients
- You ensure that the equipment is used correctly
- You ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to in the kitchen (such as HACCP requirements)
- You ensure that food and service are of the highest quality
- You train Junior cooks

**Salary**: 2,345.00€ - 2,859.00€ per month
