We're seeking a visionary Director of Product to lead the evolution of TomTom's navigation solutions for the automotive industry. In this strategic role, you'll drive product innovation across our navigation and guidance platforms, SDK offerings, and UI customization tools, positioning TomTom as the definitive leader in next-generation automotive navigation.
**What you'll do**:
- Define and execute the product roadmap for TomTom's automotive navigation solutions, balancing standardization with deep customization capabilities to meet diverse OEM requirements
- Drive product strategy across Navigation & Guidance, SDK, and UI & Customization Tools teams
- Champion innovation in lane-level navigation, advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) integration, and sensor fusion technologies
- Lead development of cutting-edge features that maintain TomTom's competitive edge over mobile navigation solutions
- Champion innovation in lane-level navigation experiences and advanced navigation views that integrate seamlessly with ADAS sensors and surrounding vehicle data
- Drive sensor fusion capabilities within navigation displays, creating enriched situational awareness that merges real-time sensor inputs with TomTom's precise mapping data
- Oversee integration of fresh data from TomTom's industry-leading Orbis map platform while managing cloud infrastructure and data costs
- Transform SDK offerings to enable greater self-service adoption by development partners
- Expand platform support to include iOS and other mobile platforms
- Design intuitive tools that empower OEMs and developers to customize navigation experiences efficiently
- Partner with engineering, design, and business development teams to deliver world-class products
- Work closely with OEM partners to understand market needs and translate requirements into product features
- Collaborate with data and cloud infrastructure teams to optimize performance and cost efficiency
**What you'll need**:
- 8+ years of product management experience, with 3+ years in senior leadership roles with team management experience
- Deep expertise in automotive technology, navigation systems, or related fields
- Proven track record of launching successful B2B software products
- Strong understanding of SDK development, mobile platforms, and cloud infrastructure
- Experience working with automotive OEMs or in the automotive technology ecosystem
- Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills with ability to balance technical complexity and business objectives
**What's nice to have**:
- Experience with mapping, geospatial data, or location-based services
- Knowledge of iOS/Android development ecosystems
- Previous experience in platform or developer tools products
- MBA or advanced degree in engineering, computer science, or related field
