Energy Procurement Management

Perimeter : France; Portugal and Spain

Key responsibilities

Manages energy acquisition for all plants based in France, Portugal and Spain. Clarifies applicants' requirements, formalizes consultations and selects suppliers, ensuring negotiations and monitoring of deliveries.

Actively participates in the objectives of the purchasing function at Lhoist South Europe. (performance and indicators).

Defines and implements the purchasing strategy for the relevant category. The objective is to achieve a recurring improvement in TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and the creation of added value, while managing quality and service levels.

Establishes close working relationships with internal stakeholders and Division Management to understand business needs, deliver appropriate purchasing performance, and contribute to the company's purchasing operational excellence. Your role will be to ensure compliance with Lhoist's policies, strategies and processes.

Oversees and works to improve key performance indicators for division-level procurement activities in line with global processes.

Supports actions to reduce purchasing costs through regular analysis of purchasing activities. Reports security issues directly to the supplier and takes necessary actions in conjunction with the security manager and internal decision makers.

The employee is responsible for energy reporting. He attends several courses, participates in budgeting and is involved in CAPEX projects that involve energy change.

Attributes

Mastery of the purchasing process (needs definition, sourcing, bidding, negotiation, contracting, monitoring)

Knowledge of energy acquisition (Gas, Electricity, alternative fuels, biomass, etc.)

Knowledge of the energy market in France, Spain and Portugal

Mastery of analysis tools (Excel, Analytics, SRM,...)

Availability to travel frequently

Required Experience: Must have 3 - 4 years of relevant general purchasing experience in a heavy industrial, manufacturing or mining environment.

Languages

Fluency in Spanish, English. French nice to have

Location

Spain (Pamplona or Girona), it also maybe France ( Grenoble or Paris) or Portugal ( Alcanede)
