Look at the BSC experience: BSC-CNS YouTube Channel Let's stay connected with BSC Folks We promote Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, fostering an environment where each and every one of us is appreciated for who we are, regardless of our differences. **Context And Mission** - We are looking for 2 students with technical expertise for our System Operations team within the Operations Department. **Key Duties** - First level support of incidents (tickets) in the system administration group - reception, filter and resolution - Management of user accounts in the supercomputers of the BSC-CNS (accounts creation, etc.) - Opening and monitoring of the MareNostrum hardware incidents and the rest of the BSC-CNS supercomputers - Control and first-level support of the centre's backup system - Support to the hardware tasks of the various data centres of the BSC-CNS (labels, cables, etc.) - First-level support for the virtual machines of the various clouds hosted by the BSC-CNS - Inventory management of the various network components and BSC-CNS´ systems - Monitoring of the center networks - Defined procedures implementation and improvement for the operations team **Requirements**: - Education - University student: Diploma or technical degree, preferably in Computer Science - Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience - Linux and/or Linux platform network administration - Good communication skills and competent to deal with users - Proactive, responsible and organized - Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience - Basic supercomputing knowledge and high level of English will be positively valued - Competences - Upper intermediate level of written English **Conditions** - The position will be located at BSC within the Operations Department - We offer a part-time internship, a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan - Duration: linked to the educational agreement - Starting date: asap **Applications procedure and process** - A full CV in English including contact details - A cover/motivation letter with a statement of interest in English, clearly specifying for which specific area and topics the applicant wishes to be considered.
